Job: Orthotic Technician – Plastics

TayCare Medical is a family owned and managed business, employing over 70 people. We have established ourselves as a fundamental operator within the Orthotic industry which we feel has arisen from providing a first class service to our customers and patients. Our strategy for the future is to remain at the forefront of orthotics and we are looking to develop a team capable of supporting such a vision.

Our team of Orthotists enjoy developing working relationships with our technicians in order to deliver high quality orthoses to our patients.

We are continually looking at new technology to enhance our product range and we encourage input from our technicians as part of this process.

There is an opportunity for an individual to join our dynamic technical team and help us achieve our commercial objectives.

The role:

The role we have available is that of an orthotic technician to work within the productive plastic department. You will be joining a team of ten colleagues, each of whom are committed to meeting the company’s quality objectives.

Ideally we are recruiting a role within the cast rectification section but we would consider all plastic technician applications.

Core skills required:

• A proven track record of working as a plastics technician;
• Ability to understand and interpret product specification charts and orthotic prescriptions;
• Ability to work to deadlines and manufacturing targets;
• Good communication skills;
• Good team working skills;
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
