Orthotic Technician Required – based in Southern Ireland.
Celtic Orthotics requires an experienced Orthotics Technician to assist us manufacture custom made foot orthotics using a wide range of materials and plastics.
Successful candidates will be required to apply their manufacturing experience and knowledge of materials to achieve best results. Experience of CAD -CAM, direct milling & CNC fabrication is a distinct advantage.
Candidates must demonstrate the following key attributes and skills:
- Ability to work on own innovative and as part of a team.
- Perform fabrication and repair of orthotic and/or prosthetic devices, according to Company quality and quantity standards.
- Good communication skills to allow you to build and develop relationships with internal and external customers.
- Perform ordering and receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
- Knowledge and hand skills needed to fabricate and repair orthoses according to patient measurements, casts and in compliance with a physician’s prescription
- Mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination to use laboratory tools safely and effectively.
- Measure patients for orthotics.
- Effective organizational, time management and planning skills.
- Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment.
- Liaise with medical practitioners to achieve best orthotic outcomes.
- Good hand/eye coordination along with excellent attention to detail.
- Be able to interpret clinical orders, work to technical instructions undertaking precise measurements, identify raw material requirements in the repair and construction of Foot Orthotics
Candidates must possess at least 3-5 years relevant experience in the orthotics industry..
