Successful candidates will be required to apply their manufacturing experience and knowledge of materials to achieve best results. Experience of CAD -CAM, direct milling & CNC fabrication is a distinct advantage.

Candidates must demonstrate the following key attributes and skills:

  • Ability to work on own innovative and as part of a team.
  • Perform fabrication and repair of orthotic and/or prosthetic devices, according to Company quality and quantity standards.
  • Good communication skills to allow you to build and develop relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Perform ordering and receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
  • Knowledge and hand skills needed to fabricate and repair orthoses according to patient measurements, casts and in compliance with a physician’s prescription
  • Mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination to use laboratory tools safely and effectively.
  • Measure patients for orthotics.
  • Effective organizational, time management and planning skills.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment.
  • Liaise with medical practitioners to achieve best orthotic outcomes.
  • Good hand/eye coordination along with excellent attention to detail.
  • Be able to interpret clinical orders, work to technical instructions undertaking precise measurements, identify raw material requirements in the repair and construction of Foot Orthotics

The company are currently looking to recruit technicians to work in our Plastics department, manufacturing AFOs and other thermoplastic devices.

 

Responsibilities include:

- Working in the Plaster room, filling and cutting off patient’s casts.

- Working on moulding and finishing AFOs and other plastic devices.

- Being overseen by the factory manager and production manager.

- Training to improve current skills, and develop apprentices in the department.
